“I originally wanted to go to art school. I’m so glad I didn’t. USF allowed me to branch out in a variety of areas and my art has been enriched through literature, theology, biology…USF has fostered my growth in every way,” Jeff Ballard, an art major from Sioux Falls, says.
Jeff met USF art professor Ceca Cooper at a portfolio review and knew USF was the place for him.
“My professors have been influential and inspiring,” he says. “They teach me to see the world differently. That’s something I want to pass on to others.”
Jeff enjoys fostering his walk with Christ and serves the community through the Washington Pavilion’s Action Arts program and by volunteering at the Sioux Falls Juvenile Detention Center.
