English education major
Crista VandePol, a sophomore English education major from Sioux Falls, strives to live by her favorite verse in 1 Timothy 4:12, “Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Despite a busy schedule that includes a full class load, RA duties, a part-time job and leading a weekly Bible study, she makes it a priority to spend alone time with God every day.
“That time I spend with God helps me relax and focus on my priorities,” Crista says.
A typical day in Crista’s life looks like this:
8:00 Up for class
9:00 Business and Professional Communication
10:00 Elementary Spanish I
12:00 British Literature:Survey II
2:00 Quiet time with God
4:00 Work at Posh Boutique or Scooter’s Coffeehouse
7:00 Home from work (Friday night DJ at campus radio station)
7:30 Bible study, RA meeting, campus event or study
